Designed for a professional with a growing family, Koonya House's transformation included more efficient use of internal spaces, enabling separation between the adult and children's living areas.
This renovation and bedroom/ensuite addition is tucked behind a classic weatherboard beach house in the heart of Sorrento. The addition channels the 1950s, drawing inspiration from the original crazy pave fireplace and the inclusion of warm timber tones and breezeblocks which form the backdrop to the courtyard and modest extension.
Views of the garden are prioritised throughout, with large glazed sliders to the kitchen and dining area, leading out to a large wrap around deck under a planted pergola. The interiors inject playful pops of green with timber accents, bringing the outside in and creating a relaxed coastal vibe.
